‘Roll’ on down to Pier 17…

21 Mar

Walking down 59th and Madison for the past few weeks I couldn’t help but notice renovations going on for the opening of the new ‘Wells Fargo’ Store. Yesterday to my surprise renovations where complete and this amazing antique coach was sitting in the window.

Curiousity got the best of me and sure enough Google came to the rescue. This year marks the founding of Wells Fargo in Manhattan by Henry Wells and William G. Fargo on March 18, 1852.  Of course this was news to me! As always there is a ‘FREE’ twist to my random observations,

Beginning on Saturday, March 19 at Central Park (72nd Street and Dead Road) and continuing on March 26 and 27 and April 2 and 3 at Pier 17, South Street Seaport, complimentary stagecoach rides will be available to the public from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

So ‘roll’ on downtown and join in the free celebrations!
